Updated WordPress App For iOS Unveiled

WordPress have unveiled a new version of their hugely popular blogging app for iOS with new features of the app including an easier to user interface and an enhance experience for users.

While WordPress continues to be used most commonly by people at home on their computers and laptops, there is a growing need for bloggers to be able to not only write new posts while on the move but to also be able to get important updates and notifications from their mobile devices.

Anyone using WordPress on their iOS Apple iPhone of iPad can now be assured of a smoother user experience thanks to the newly redesigned iOS app update from WordPress.

There are a number of new features of this updated app for WordPress but probably the most striking has to be the design of the app itself which is now far more inline with the design elements more usually associated with iOS apps.

While the design itself is easier on the eye it also makes using the app easier than ever before with clearer tabs and flatter icons making the overall WordPress app experience a more enjoyable one for users.

There have also been changed made to the log in page for users of the WordPress app and error messages and notifications have been improved in this new version.

There are also an entirely new look Reader, Comments and Notifications sections that make the app look and function much more smoothly and over all the new 3.9 WordPress app for iOS has to be considered to be a big improvement for users.

Other new features of the new WordPress app update include a more seamless inline commenting experience, redesigned posts/pages in editing and viewing experience, various bug fixes and also support has been added for deep linking from Twitter.

According to WordPress: “It’s easy to manage your WordPress blog or site from your iOS device. With WordPress for iOS, you can moderate comments, create or edit posts and pages, view stats, and add images or videos with ease. All you need is a WordPress.com blog or a self-hosted WordPress.org site running 3.5 or higher.”

WordPress for iOS is available for free from the Apple App Store but this version of the app does require iOS 7.
